boost gauge tap V70-XC70 1998

Remove a small cover at the front of the engine (#25 torx screws) and you'll see a "tree" with rubber caps coming off the intake manifold. Remove one of the caps and tap one of those ports.

To make my connection, I bored a small hole in longer and larger vacuum cap (Auto Zone, cheap), and threaded my tube through the hole...plus an additional few inches. Then I put a bit of neoprene tubing (7/16 I think) over the end of the tube and carefully forced this back inside the cap. I then inserted this assembly over one of the ports, and clamped down with a couple zip ties. This is probably overkill, but I didn't want to be checking for vacuum leaks later - I only wanted to do this once.
