Let me get this straight.. Cold engine, run it for 20-30 seconds and shut it off for the night?

Umm.. Very bad idea with these engines. Search the archives for 'lawnmower syndrome' for the explanation and what can ultimately happen.

You should *not* do this with these engines, they don't like it at all.
