We have both a 1999 Cavavan and a 2000 V-70. To be perfectly honest, I like the caravan better. It is much more comfortable for the driver and passengers and can haul more cargo. Whenever we go anywhere, we take the van. My first Volvo was a 1988 240 which I put 285,000 miles on, we then had a pair of 740 turbos. I purchased the van to replace the 740 wagon and the V-70 to replace the 740 sedan. We had so much trouble with the first V-70, we gave it back. The second has had trouble as well. All small electronic stuff covered under warranty, but a pain in the neck. No trouble with the caravan. Good luck.
