Fault in atuomatic gearbox (flashing arrow light) 850 1994

I had the same problem on my 1995 850. turns out the "PNP" or Park Neutral Park switch was shot. Without going into too much detail this switch sends a signal back to the auto gearbox and opens or closes solenoids depending on gear selection, ie Winter mode or Sport mode. It cost $170.00 {Canadian$} for the switch and about one hour labour and was done at the dealer.
