That's actually not quite true. I guess it depends on what you are bidding on. Just because someone outbids you the last second doesn't mean that there is something fishy. It means that the other person wants it more than you and made sure of it. I've had many successes in ebay. For example, I have bought a complete set of callaway clubs woods (from 3 different people). Retail these clubs would've sold in stores for $249.00 but my average winning price was $130.00. Add $20.00 (max) on shipping, I still save about $100.00 on each club. My advise is do your research before you bid on something and definitely ask the seller questions if you have them.
