Thanks for your help. I removed the panel to access the motor. The motor leads are connected directly to a flat box labeled:
W4239
inalfa/needap
SERIAL NO. 746

Eventhough I disconnected the motor (to save it from burning up) the flat box continues to click. I believe this black box is the root of the problem but what is it? The relay? Is it (plese, oh please, oh please) cheap?!?!
