I have a 1996 850 turbo and am guessing that the thermostat is shot because the engine temp barely comes off the bottom of its range, and it take a long time to get fairly feeble heat out of the system.
I have some rudimentary repair skills but wouldn't call my self a skilled repairman. Would I be able to replace the thermostat myself? Do I need a repair manual, and which manual should I buy?
I honestly have not even opened the hood to see if I can visually locate the thermostat yet. will I see it when I look, or is this something that is not easily accessed?
Thanks in advance for any help.
