Rearview mirror snapped off. V70-XC70

I consider this to be a manufacturer defect in design since more than a few 1998 V or S70 have this problem. Mine finally snapped off at about 30,000 miles. Brought to dealer: " you must have broken it; we never heard about this problem before..." who eventually agreed to replace it under warranty. Replacement is not any easier to adjust, but now I know that it can snap off so I just do not move it too much.
