Rearview mirror snapped off. V70-XC70 1998

My 1998 V70's rearview mirror was fine (sold the car to my brother and bought a 2001 V70) but my neighbor, who bought the 1998 V70 on my advice, had the exact same problem. It snapped off in her hand. She went to the dealership, walked into the service department with the mirror and asked them if they thought this was a problem. They promptly replaced it for free. Her warranty had expired so it was a wise move on behalf of the dealer - too bad there are many out there who have't come to this realization.
