Let's just get to the bottom of who you would kill for if your daughter was killed in an accident. If in an accident, with no racing involved, your child is killed. Would you kill the driver? Or would you only kill the driver if he or she was racing? What if the person that killed your child was an inept old senior citizen that had no place behind the wheel of a car, with a history of bad driving? Would you kill that senior citizen? What if the person that killed your daughter was simply a horrible driver, but never ever sped, nor raced, but was clumsy, had poor reaction time, etc, had been in accidents before, and is generally not a safe driver? Would you kill that driver? What if a person fell asleep at the wheel because they were working themselves too hard, and killed your daughter? Would you kill that driver? Things aren’t as clear cut as you would like to believe. When most of us race, we never ever intend to hurt anyone, nor do we ever even believe there is the slightest chance anything can go wrong, let alone killing someone. More people are killed by drunk drivers, red light runners, and bad drivers then by racing at least 10 fold.
Before you go off threatening people, just think about what a parent would do to you if you killed their child in an ACCIDENT. It goes both ways. I’m sure you’ve cut a light or two closer then you should have, or sped just a little bit. You are obviously passionate about reckless driving on the road. Well what if you saw some young punk in a modified car, driving recklessly, to the point that it angered you into not exactly driving as you should. And what if, in that situation, you killed someone. Would you kill yourself?
If you want to use intent as the determining factor, at what point is negligence intent? At what point should a bad driver remove themselves from the road?
You admit that you at one time were "young, stupid and ignorant." So who are you to tell people like me and others not to do as you did? Is this another case of do as I say, not as I do? Are you that much of a hypocrite? If we are that “young, stupid and ignorant” as you say, give us the time and experiences you had to have the view on road racing as you have.
