Factory Rep? V70-XC70

Hi,

Case #1
If the Dealer did your first Bevel Gear repair then the Dealer at that time should have told you about the tire size issues and what damage it could cause. If the Deal made no mention of the tires and let you drive out on a set of messed up tires only to be back in at 500mile for a new Bevel Gear then you have a case for a Free Bevel Gear Replacement.

Case #2
However, if your First Bevel Gear repair was done by an Independent Volvo repair shop then the Independent Volvo Repair shop should have told you about the tire issue or at least should have told you to go to the Dealer for details. If this is the case then you have a big problem. You will have to convince the Independent Volvo Repair shop to do a repair at a great discount.

For case #1 you should be able to get the Dealer to fix your problem for free. If the Dealer will not fix the issue for free then you demand that the Dealer Contact the Factory Rep and set up an Appointment between you and the Factory Rep. At the same time you request the Factory Rep’s mailing Address and Name. Write the Factory Rep a Positive Letter stating your problem.

Remember that the Factory Rep works for Volvo NA and the Volvo Dealer works for himself. The Dealer is in business to sell and service Volvos. The Factory is in business to Design and build Volvos. The Factory hires the Dealer to do the rest. So it is beneficial for both that you be happy with the car.

Good Luck,

Steven---
