T5 Tires S70 1998

My main reason for not modifying engine performance and suspension is that 1) I'm more than satisfied with what I've got, and 2) I have two kids in college so I don't have oodles of spare cash lying around. With the torque steer this car has, I don't know what I'd do with all that extra power. As it is now, I sometimes feel like this car is going to flip over onto the roof when I step on the accelerator. And longevity IS an issue for me. I'd be very concerned that performance modifications would lead to shortened engine life, a burned out transmission, or a blown turbo before I get to 200K or 250K miles.

I modified my RWD's (745T and 945T ) to improve response and handling. These were relatively cheap fixes: the IPD camshaft (25hp at least!), cut off the resonator, sway bar and tower brace, tighter shocks and springs in the front of the 745T. I also did some lighting improvements and added sound insulation. In my 745T, I rebuilt the turbo at 225K just for the fun of it.
