So I'm out of line because I'm trying to find out why it's happened and what (if any) possible solution there is for those here who just happen to own SRS vehicles?

As it's so far reported, I guess everyone here can assume they're driving a potential "time bomb". Most reading this might want to know why it occured and what can be done to prevent it from occuring to their cars.

I'll bet that we'll never know any more details about this story and I think that that's unfortunate. Just my $.02
