Some people like the 850s stock ride, actually most do from what I hear. Your ride would probably be worse (ALOT stiffer) had you purchased the costlier, "sport" struts as you'ld probably then feel every crack in every road.
My much older 745T still has stock struts and I actually think it rides very well for a wagon. I've added IPD anti-sway bars, MVP links and Cherry (now sold through IPD) strut braces so it does better in turns but whenever I think about switching to Bilsteins, I think I'd also be dissapointed considering the cost and little, if any real gain. I wouldn't want to feel the road more than I do now, like all the cracks, etc.
