coolant flush/recommendation? 850

The original Volvo coolant is BLUE not orange - I stick w/ it. I heard a srory from my mechanic that (long time ago) his boss bought very very CHEAP antifreeze from a track they've never seen before ( and after). After using that antifreeze customers would come back in ~2-3 months w/ a bad water pump. They stopped using that sh..t and problems w/ pump disappear.
Many people here say they are using original parts only when fixing the car. Why not spent $2-3 more and get that volvo staff. Yoy don't change it that often either.
