Front Stabilizer Links 850

Hi Jeff,

It is a pretty easy thing to do actually. I've replaced them both a couple of months ago. I've bought them from eEuroparts.com (?). They were original volvo and 19.9 each. I've reached the parts store through eBay. they ship from connecticut and easy to do bussiness with. Highly recommend them. Go to ebay and search for "sway bar link volvo 850". You can have the shipment free if you buy two.

As for the changing them, this can be a bit tricky if you don't check which type of sway bar link you have (3 redesigns on the nuts). The older ones need a 18-19 mm wrench to hold the base of the bolt and another to loosen the nut. The newer ones need a 25 Torx(?) to hold the tip of the screw and a wrench for the nut.
It IS really easier than what I write, you'll see it when you start the job. The important thing to remember is to remove both wheels to do the job. I guess you'd have jackstands. Doing that, you'll release the weight on the sway bar and it will be very easy to play with the links. I did change both of them in one hour. I'm sure you can do better.
have fun, email me if you need more details.
ihsan
