Transmission Flush S80 1999

You can do it yourself with a 1" ID hose and an empty coolant jug (graduated). It takes about 30 minutes total. Bay 13 has a procedure for other FWD Volvo's, and the procedure is the same except for two things:

1.) The tranmission pipe to the rad is easy to disconnect. Just squeeze the green connector, and firmly pull the pipe out. Some fluid will leak out.

2.) Connect the hose to the top fitting collar on the rad with a hose clamp. Put the end of the hose in the empty jug.

I bought a bunch of cheap Dextron III at Walmart, and flushed until it ran clear. Then I filled with Mobil 1 ATF (10 qts).
