Hanging up in Park V70-XC70 1998

My wife's car had the same problem. I lubricated both sides of the plastic part you depress (as it would slide into the shifter). Works fine. Someone about 3 months ago was having a similar problem, and I suggested this fix. Worked for him too. The button you depress is spring loaded. My guess is that the spring moves somewhat and expands the plastic that you depress thereby making it hard to push.
