My understanding is that no software activation is required for my car; just the display and dash switch.

Given the prices I'm getting, I might consider a salvage part. And yes, it is a long installation process, but Bay13's instructions seem straightforward.

I don't like add-on stuff, so no GPS in this car. But the new car might have it. ;)
