The one under the coin holder is the standard type of port. I used an OBDII scanner from Autozone. Unit lit up and connected but no codes shown.
This was confirmed via the underhood diagnostic module no codes.
I use the diagnostic module. So I'm in no hurry get a scanner.
System is the Motronic 4.3.
