Disconcerting in bad weather because there's a momentary pause before the brakes "bite"? Yes, I noticed it gradually creep in, and then it became constant in the wet up to about 110k mi., when I replaced all 4 rotors with the second set of new pads. In evil weather it was so bad that I tried (without great success) to remember to pump my brakes every 5 minutes or so. I'd noticed that there were small ridges that had formed on the very edge of the original rotors due to rotor wear at the contact areas, I'd guess that there's a buildup of water, brake dust and oily road slime that the ridge prevents from completely leaving the rotor surface, while pushing the pistons back just a smidgen. I'm no brake engineer, it's just my guess, but since I replaced my rotors I've had no complaints. I've never noticed this phenomenon with any other car I've owned.
