Volvo jacks are the worst. For a "safety" car company to make such bad jacks is simply apalling....I hate to say it: Shame on you for even thinking the thing was OK for a tire change in the driveway.

My Volvo jacks are now buried in concrete in various house projects and pathways. I use a good aftermarket scissor jack in the car for emergencies only, and a floor jack and stands for driveway work.

Find the 800 Volvo number and be SURE to notify the NHTSA....
