Thanks all for the advice!

I have already filed a complaint with the NHTSA.

Another question I had was about a floor jack. How many tons is good enough for my coupe? The day when the factory jack broke, I borrowed my friend's 2 ton jack and it seemed as if it was struggling to lift the car up.
