you should have immediatly pulled over and turned off the car! never drive a 850 with a high temp, all alluminum engine/head/etc. very sensitive to heat-cracking , warping, etc.
check your oil for coolent contamination!
the waterpunp is driven by the timing belt.
check your thermostat first. remove it and get a new one to be safe. or put it in boiling water and see if the spring opens the thing up. about 180 degrees i think.
is the cooling fan on the radiater working properly?
