I agree with the previous posts. To compress the tensioner, it will probably take you 8 to 10 minutes. Do this slowly and you can use a finishing nail to hold it it place when re-installing.
While you are there, might as well put in a new water pump. It's cheap insurance. You will need 1/4" deep well sockets, extensions and swivels.
Hint -- glue the new gasket on to the water pump before you take the old one off. This will let it sit awhile for the adhesive to set up.
All in all, about a 4 hout job with the right tools.
