Rubber valve stem failure S70

I'd venture a guess and say that the rupture while parked is a heat thing. The heat generated down there may help the reubber stems seal up better. When they cool down while parking they are more susceptible to snapping due to the decreased temperature?

Just a thought, doubt there's much truth to it.
