I've worked on cars for over 25 yrs now for living, even in a couple gas stations way back (70s), owned many cars, replaced many tire valve stems over those years YET I've never once heard or read of that happening until I read this thread. I can only assume 2-3 things; VERY cheap quality parts (which I've never seen before myself with tire valve stems) and/or extremely high tire pressures possibly with high heat?
..... or aftermarket wheels with incorrect type/size valve stems?
I'm aware of some aftermarket, racing type wheels where special tire valves are required.
