I remembered that in making the press, there was a problem with not having enough bolt thread to avoid further rigging and I wound up using a threaded rod with a nut on each end instead of trying to find a fully threaded bolt. Same thing otherwise.
NOTE: I just posted a consolidated msg to avoid too much confusion. Look for "home made tool" title.
