Replacing Mass Air Sensor C70 1999

Finally received the mass air sensor and installed it over the weekend. It was a very easy job...probably took 30 minutes (mainly trying to pry the old sensor off the plastic hose). I decided to use a flat screwdriver and slowly worked my way around the hose. After it was out, I just popped in the new sensor and that's it.

I took it for a test drive after I installed it. Even with the check engine light on, there was a huge difference in performance!! I had a friend of mine turn off the check engine light with an OBD-II reader and so far, after 80 miles, the light has not come back on. Hopefully it stays this way.

By the way, when my check engine light first came on, I had two codes that came up (P1171 & P1174). Initially, I installed a new front oxygen sensor, but the check engine light came on shortly. However, there was only 1 code left (P1171). So hopefully by replacing the mass air sensor, this will clear up the other code.

Thanks to all who responded to my questions and gave me insight on installation.
