The next time you hear the "click", completely turn off your climate control system ... no fan .... no A/C .... nothing.

Then listen to find if the "click" ceases. If it does, then you have joined a club with many members; it is most likely an automatic, pneumatically operated vent damper which is cycling open and shut repeatedly.

If so, this problem has been discussed on the Brick Board several times; a search of the archives should produce several entries.
