turbo oil leak is not a major problem.... small amounts do leak out..and is normal... is it bad on ur car?


tranny is a very odd design because volvo insisted on transversely mounting the inline-6 ... which leaves very little room for a tranny. note all other volvos have 5sp now-a-days...manual/auto. but the s80 matched with the inline-6 is stuck with the 4sp... since it is a weird design (gm was consulted, if not made by gm)... there have been reports about the tranny problems on early s80 ... however, i would trust a dealer more than a tranny shop... try another dealer and c if they find it... what did the tranny shop tell u?
