I have a 99 S80 T6 with 71,000 miles. My transmission went out this summer. My dealer was absolutely no help, I suspect they may have had a hand in breaking it. They overfilled it by accident once. We are in Canada now. It was this dealership that lied to me and was so stupid. The transmission shop fixed it. It is a Gm transmissionk with Volvo parts added. Volvo does not sell these parts. My transmission shop found some & fixed it. It works great now. As this was happening my car started not wanting to start. The transmission shop finally figured out the battery cable was interfering with the speed sensor. My dealership gave up on my car & said they were not able to fix it when it did not want to start. The transmission shop moved the battery cable. This was a month long problem. Overall the car has had many small problems. This is the first big problem. I hope to never have to step foot in this dealership again. I found a private shop run by an ex-volvo mechanic.
Best of Luck Sandy
