In response to your questions:

"Well, *is* there excessive wear on the outer edges? Is that what you see as well?" Yes.

"And is the rest of the tread in good shape?" Yes.

"Have you had your front end aligned since you've owned the car?" Yes and this alignment was performed a year into the life of the previous set of tires. Two years ago, prior to replacing all 4 tires at 23,000 miles, I had the alignment checked and was told that the car did not need an alignment. Prior to replacing this set of tires, I will, again, have the alignment checked and adjusted as is necessary.

Please describe what a 'toe-in problem' is.
