Cant open glove box 850

Thanks Japan and Hamfisted, Im sure its the rod that connects the handle to the latch. I had it all apart a few months ago, as I was painting some of the interior trim to match the exterior colour. It gave me some trouble, but was able to fix it BEFORE I closed the door. Ill do the cutting thing that you recommended, and go the wrecker (we have a wrecker that had nothing but Volvos in there yard) and get the hook. I thought thats what I would have to do, but wanted to see if there was any other tricks.

Cant get to if by removing the leg bolster and reaching up!! Darn!!!
