You might want to contact corporate Volvo directly. Volvo Cars of North America has its corporate offices in Rockleigh, NJ. You shoud call them directly and ask to speak to the head of Customer Relations. Several comments should catch VCNA's attention. You are a long time Volvo customer and you are dealing with a dealer who has a geographic monopoly. A dealer like that may have absolutely no incentive to be responsive to customers and can do a world of damage to Volvo customers, that could be irreparable to corporate Volvo. By the way, is this dealer a "Dealer of Excellence"? If he is, he really should be more reponsive. I doubt it though, based upon your comments.

Once you get a name from VCNA, in terms of Customer Service, put your complaint in writing listing dates, what was said, by whom, and the incurred costs. Send your letter to the Customer Relations Person of VCNA and "CC" the Service Manager and General Manager of the dealership. Now the dealership has got a problem, that has to be responded to in writing, not only to you, but to VCNA. You might even want to "CC" Vic Doolan, the President of VCNA. His address is out in Irvine California. The address is something like VCAN, Premiere Automotive Group, One Premiere Place, Irvine, CA. You could probably get that information from VCNA in Rockleigh, NJ.

Another alternative, is to try to find a responsible independent shop. You might be able to locate one by asking anyone you meet who has a Volvo where they get it serviced. Also, try the Volvo Club of America (VCOA.org) to see if there is a local chapter near where you live. That could be a valuable resource in helping you to find a good independant garage. Good Luck!
