Enging running too cold causes 'Check Engine' light? 850 1996

Yes, it could cause an error code. I had mine to the dealer twice. they changed the sensor and that worked for a week. Then i noticed that the engine temp was just a little below normal. Changed the thermostat, no more problem.
one more thing the error code only happened above 1500ft elv.
