I just want to let you know I have a 1999 S80 2.9 with 120,000 miles. YES, one of the first ones, and no major problems. I've had a few small ones, like indicator lights that needed to be reset, a motor mount and also needed a swaybar link replaced. I've had other cars in the past and had many, many, more and worse problems. I do have my car serviced at all required intervals at the dealer, and change the oil every 3000-5000mi. I do though feel the services are quite expensive, but I'm very satisfied with the car.
