How do you reset the service light on an 850 850 1997

As far as I know:

You can't reset it without buying a device specifically made for that ($$$). The service light means it's time to change the oil. On a 1997 model, you need the special tool. It's easiest to just ignore the light, since it goes off after a few minutes. You can go to a dealer or other Volvo shop and get them to reset it if it bothers you. They may charge you for this. Mine doesn't.

The service light isn't part of the OBD spec, so your code reader won't handle it.
