Hi All,
My 93 850 GLT is running very rough and has little excelleration. It started when it wouldn't start. I foaund a tip herre and held the accelerator in and turned it until it cranked. At first ir was extremely rough, like the engine wantede to jump out and runn on its own. It is still rough but not as bad. I checked error codes and not knowing which socket to check, I checked them all. Here are the codes.
Socket A1 - 143,213,213
Socket A2 - 111
Socket A3 - 444,142
Socket A6 - 111
I cleared the codes and stangely the car semed to show a small amount of improvement. I drove it for a day and checked again but this time I included the B sockets.
Sockets A1-A6 111
Socket A7 - 122,121,132
Socket B1 - 145,231,313,314,411,414,417 ( I thought there were supposed to be 3 max)
Socket B2 - 122,122,122
Any thoughts? Can anyone direct me to a chart that hass the error codes for all the sockets? What are the B sockets and why do I never see them mentioned? How do I clear the B sockets or do I even want to?
The car has around 190K mi. are there any sensors, cords, cables that should be replaced anyway at this point?
One more issue - The automatic transmission shifter locks in park and I have to press the lock release to put it in gear.
thanks for any light you can shed,
Bryan
