My 01 V70 T5 had cracked upper motor mount at the 60k service. Probably was there before the 50K mile warranty expired. I saw the old part and the rubber mounts inside the metal casing was cracked.

As for how you can tell if it is cracked. The repair tech explained to me that I would have felt a "kick" when putting the geartronic transmission in reverse.

I don't recall a big different before and after the repair. Probably because my drive way has a relatively steep incline and the V70 seems to put force on the transmission even if parking brake is on (After engaging the parking brake, the car rolls back slightly when foot brake is let go) When I shift from parking to reverse on this inclined drive way, there is a bigger kick as compared to doing all this on a flat surface.

The other problem I had was the rubber seals getting loose on the front passenger door. Dealer fixed it under warranty.
