Strange Problem with Brakes 850 1994

The pads are OEM. Although the rotors are Brembo brand instead of Volvo brand. They are supposed to be the exact rotors supplied to Volvo (not crossdrilled or slotted). Could an excessive grove in the rotor cause the problems I described above? Maybe the Brembo rotors were not of high quality and wore quicker then the Volvo rotors would have. I will probably pick up a rotor dial so I can measure how much rotor I have left.
