Cargo Boxes

I do not work for, or sell, Thule products.

I have a Thule Evolution 1800 that I put on my 1998 V70 XC for family vacations. It is great, as it has allowed me to avoid getting a minivan! This box opens from both sides and locks. My small wife and I can get it on the roof of the car pretty easily.

As far as wind noise goes, it seems quieter when the Thule box is on the roof, compared to driving with the Volvo crossbars attached, but without the cargo box. I remove the crossbars when not using the box, as the wind noise from the crossbars only drives me crazy.
