Pushing a wire through the drain to see if it is clogged shouldn't hurt anything as long as you don't use undue force. However, there are four drains, you can only see the front two. To access the back drains, you need to remove the sunroof. Directions are on Bay 13. If you can pass a wire through the drains, pour a little water into each one to make sure that they are draining freely. You shouldn't ever get water coming inside the car if all of the drains are clear.
