I have the EXACT same problem. How do you get the glove box out without removing the top of the dash? Also, did you have issues getting that *!@$ #*&@% SRS knee bolster out?

I'd suspect that the ratchet of the zip-tie is stuck between the housing and the motor/sensor.

Either way, if I can get mine fixed, I'll tell you what I did and we can hopefully both have nice crispy toes.
