Serpentine belt failure

When the belt broke, there could be little pieces everywhere. Use a flashlight and check everywhere for broken belt pieces. The water pump is driven by the timing belt. The serpentine belt runs the alternator, power steering, and AC. Check under the timing belt for more pieces. Your motoor is not supposed to tick for more than 5 minutes.
