Daire,
Next spring, I want to install new rubber bumpers on the hood where it will put some tension between it and the frame. This adjusting is nuts! My wife's audi has rubber bumpers that are adjustable and just screw right into the metal. My hood feels loose, but I don't want to lower it past the fender height, so I will figure a way to add bumper stops.
