I have a 1993 850 GLT (manual transmission) with 104,000k. I am the original owner. I have had excellent luck with this car (I guess). I have had none of the major problems listed in this string (k.o.w.) and just love the car. While the others are correct in that parts are more expensive--such as the headlight lense which my indy says will cost around $300.00 to replace (each), and most parts have to be purchased from the dealer exclusively, I have found it to be an excellent car. You may though, want to go with a 95 or older. I would probably not have bought this car as I too would usually stay away from first model years; it was a present to me and one of the best ones I have ever received.
