Radio antenna 850 1994

It's actually easier then the previous post suggests. Just have someone turn the radio on, while you at the same time grab the top of the antenna (you may have to use single nose pliers to grab the top) and just pull it right out. After purchasing the new replacment mast, (which is inexpensive) follow the instructions for installation. Basically you have someone turn the radio off, while at the same time, you feed the new threaded "tail" into the hole. If you are lucky, the motor will "grab" the thread at first attempt. If not, keep trying the routine until the motor grabs it. I replaced mine years ago and it grabbed the first time and took a total of 10 minutes to replace. Good Luck!
