AC Problems May not be the Evaporator 850

Just because you're loosing your 850's coolant don't automatically think its the dreaded evaporator. I've had to replace both hoses going to the compressor and the evap still shows no sign of leaking. It's been my experience that after 8-10 years any ac flexable hose should be the first suspect if you're loosing coolant. If you can wait they can be rebuilt relatively cheaply (compared to a new one that is) from Century Auto AC in Phoenix. They have pretty good turnaroud time.
