I agree with the previous comments on the expensive K&N air filters. Just get a basic Fram or Purolator and you'll be all set. I change mine every 10K and my mileage is perfect.
I use Bosch Platinum plugs and they work fine. Should run about $2.50 each.
On the oil, I'd stick to any good brand name and run a synthetic in the winter time if you can afford it. Up here in New York when it hits 5 below, my Volvo thanks me when it's got a crankcase full of Mobil 1. With the filter, skip the cheapos and get a hold of a NAPA Gold. Cost about twice as much, but it's the best one out there.
